In a previous thread Mex pointed out another factor.
"•I would never take a thin plate AGM to less than 50% SOC regularly. Over-amp really thin plates and they will warp"
(At low SOC a battery will sustain a high amp charging rate for a longer time before amps taper, so that might be "too much" for some batteries to take depending on their construction.}
It is not so easy to learn if your AGM has plates that thin either. You could use a lower max current charger to play it safe unless you are on generator time.
