Would this be a terrible idea? {aluminum jack stands)

My van is high clearance and I am small. I do not jack it up when working under it. I do use a jack stand or two, though, when camped for a long time at an unlevel spot that would require 6 or more...

I have a set of those stands left over from my trailer days. I don't care what they "rate" them at, they are not for lifting a wheel off the ground.

In fact, I would be surprised if you could do it. They are "stabilizing stands" not "jacks".

As far as 10 pounds making a difference, I can't imagine what you are thinking. That's less than the weight of 2 gallons of gas.
