I have a short hose (25' or so) I bought at Walmart. I use it to fill my water tank. I never leave my rig connected to water with the water on (I use the on board system so I don't need to worry about a leak or something bad happening when I'm not there). I have had that hose for at least 6 or 7 years (long enough to get my moneys worth out of it).
I also have a roll flat hose on a wind up reel that's about 50' long and takes up hardly no space. The last one I bought at Sears, cost about $25, it has lasted at least 10 years that I can remember. But I only use it when I need additional length.
I guess because my hoses aren't under pressure 24/7 they must last a long time.
