Your correct... I would say the best way to check fuel economy on a diesel is to run it from a clean DPF (after regen) until the completion of a second regen.- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIThis BS of fill til it clicks and wait then same is a joke. It takes a bit but you can fill to the top if you want.

You literally have a truck that will make a mess if you try doing that, just like all other capless fuel fillers I’ve seen…. And what is the difference really? If it’s a similar flow rate pump it’s gonna foam and click off about the same (talking about diesels) yes the click off is more accurate with gas since it doesn’t foam up. Cummins12V98 wrote:

I think this method is legit as long as you do it the same way every time.- Grit_dogNavigator

But you don’t get the added advantage of “carefully” filling it to the brim with a couple few clicks and the nice splash of diesel that runs out the water drain between the 2 flappy deals in the fuel filler….
Bonus points if it splashed on your shoes or toes….
Not sure how to account for the volume loss there either…lol - Cummins12V98Explorer III

Haven't you noticed different flows if someone else is filling on your island while you are also? Cummins12V98 wrote:

So you mean to tell me that another pump on the same island pumping fuel at two different locations is why these two Duramax trucks yielded impressive fuel economy results?- Cummins12V98Explorer III

WOW, put words into my mouth!!! I never said a word about the results just the method of fueling. Remember reading and comprehension go together. :B
I gave you an example with a question of why it can't be accurate but you chose not to address my statement/question. Cummins12V98 wrote:

But yet your trying to disqualify these fuel economy tests from two different sources. So based on the fueling error you're claiming how much did it affect the reported fuel economy results?
IMO the error is in the noise.
