2024 Chevy HD ZR2
Looks like a good looking truck and Ford and Ram offroad HDs may have been put on notice, but GM needs to ditch the hot wax dipped frames for a e coated/painted frame.

I am on my 3rd GM truck with the wax coated frame.I have also had a number of vehicles that did not have a wax coated frame. I never gave it any thought. All of the frames did their job, and never gave me any trouble. Why should I care if wax is used or not used?
Are some just picking a nit? What am I missing?
The pictures I posted pretty much sums up why I prefer a E Coated frame.
It's a 2014 truck and the battery is on the passenger side. The picture is from the drivers side. Very unlikely battery acid and notice the sway bar ecoating still looks good.
I suppose paint peeling off body panels doesn't bother some people either (i.e. Toyota) although they still function as a vehicle.

BTW I see these new Chevys are coming with 2" lift kits from the factory.

They don't salt the roads in Texas. Here in the rust belt it don't much matter what you put on the frames they're showing surface rust in 2 years and the coating is gone in 5.
