My 69 F100 Ranger 360 2 barrel was a DOG. Changed a couple things wa-la 390 plus 4 barrel was bad azz and got better fuel economy. Had the C6 BUILT and was amazing.
Agreed... Running in 2 barrel mode on a 4 barrel carb made better fuel economy than a 2 barrel carb.
I remember my parents and their friends pulled their campers from Texas to Ontario Canada back in 1982 and their 1981 Chevy 305ci truck, a friends 1980 GMC 350 both with 4 barrel carbs always made better fuel economy compared to the two Ford F250's with a 400 and 351 2 barrel setup.
