But to be fair, you literally bought a type of tire that hasn’t been mainstream since idk, maybe when I was about 7 years old. (By the time I could drive, those “Farm and Fleet specials” were just “old” noisy and rough and the world had moved on to better performing longer lasting radial mud tires that didn’t look like spares for the Jeeps on the MASH movie set.)
Considering there aren’t many guys my age still busting tires and even less who would actually be old enough to remember using them….most of those guys are either on RVnet talking grampa smack to each other or in assisted living, it’s not really a stretch that the tire guy didn’t recognize vintage tire considerations.
Kinda like taking your Koenigsegg to Jiffy Lube and expecting they actually have the oil filter for it and know whatever obscure procedure is required to change the oil properly in a half million dollar super car... Or hittin up Midas for a tune up with a breaker point ignition….
Or asking for a med rare Quarter Pounder at McDs…
