As I said, cost is still an problem but there is a decent percentage of folks towing a 5-7k trailers and 220miles is viable for weekend trips and for once a year longer trips it's viable.
If you ever go camping, you will see lots of unibodies towing up to around 5k lb.
The technology isn't going to replace diesel dually right now but for small to medium trailers it's viable and that makes up a significant percentage of RVs... unlike a few years ago when anything more than a year drop was impractical.
You are partially correct. I make 5 or 6 camping trips per year and most of them are under 250 miles. However, at least 1 or more times per year we make trips that are 300 to 500 miles. I need a vehicle that covers all my trips not most of my trips. In that respect I think you are wrong, 220 miles is not any where near viable.
I don’t think most people want to be tied down to such a limited range from home; and every extra day driving is another day I’m not fishing, kayaking, or hiking. In short, EV isn’t for towing, not by a longshot.

220 miles of towing sounds like my 88 GM 3500 towing with a 454! 30 gals at 7-8 mpg! THats with a 6500 lbs 24' TT! I'm not seeing the EV being much different frankly!
Other than as mentioned, 30 min to fill up vs 15 min of fuel......
Its getting closer to usuable for some of us. Other still not close.

Exactly, for towing, EVs haven’t managed to get better than 1988 ICE vehicle technology.

15 min to fuel, what are you filling a 200 gal tank haha. I am 5 min at most filling a 39 gal tank

I'll go with valahalla's comment, Pull into a station with a spouse and 4 kids, by the time the kids hit the facility, Spouse is inside buying a few goodies for a snack or lunch or dinner when doing on of the 400-600 mile day. Add in walking 2 malamutes we had for a bit....15 mins easy for a fuel stop.
Even single, depending upon the station, I'm only getting 4-7 gals per min of fuel at the pump, so 7 max to 4 min min filling my 30 of 35 gals, A minute to get my card in the system, another min to replace the hose at the pump, get the receipt if I want one. In reality, 6-10 minimum min.
"IF" you can hit a hi-flo diesel pump 30 gals can by done in 2-3 min at 10gals per minutes. then you have foam buildup etc to deal with too!
Lets be somewhat realistic on how most of us probably fill up with fuel! 15 min is probably a decent ave amount of time. Sometimes longer, sometimes a bit shorter.

I have a 2008 V10 F250 with 30gal tank. I figure using 25gal before I need to fill and that gives me a range around 240-260. Your average F150 only has a 23-26gal tank, so maybe 200 mile range....220 mile on battery close enough to be not much different.
Agreed, if you are used to pulling a 40ft 5er 700miles a day on a regular basis, not even close. but for your small to medium size bumper pull used by a weekender within 200-300miles of home...

Look, we all know how to drain a fuel tank with Olympic level proficiency! We have trucks and we tow **bleep**! Poor mileage and range go hand in hand with towing.
But I can think of more places than I can count, that I pulled in and filled up my gas/diesel hog and the only pain was in the wallet. And the people at those same places would laugh hysterically if I unrolled my charging cord, plugged it into the ford logo on my fender and asked where the electrical receptacle was!!
