Looking for those that made the switch from a gas TV to a diesel some questions.
1. Happy with your choice? Absolutely
2. Are maintenance cost as high as you were lead to believe? Regular maintenance costs are somewhat higher but, imo, more than offset by the increased mileage and range.
3. What gas rig did you switch from, to which diesel? I originally had an F250 with the 6.0. A buddy of mine had a v10 6.8L and (I now believe) sort of "embellished" the mileage and performance he was getting. When I saw a nice, CC F350 in great shape, I took the plunge. Big mistake. Every trip I took was so &$(# expensive I started taking fewer trips, and shorter duration. Finally went back to the TV in my sig. Love driving it, and extended trips don't cost me near as much in fuel.
4. What are you pulling and what is its GVW? Fiver in my signature. Around 11.5K, with about a 2300 pin weight.
5. Will your next TV be Gas or Diesel? With regards to a gasser, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...you can't get fooled again" -G. W. Bush
