I am extremely happy with my Ram. I also do most of the maintenance myself which cuts down on costs. Oil capacity is more but but has longer change intervals so I don't see a big difference in general maintenance costs. Filters and such are very cheap on the Cummins and easy to replace. I am pulling about 10500 loaded and this truck makes driving pleasurable. Another added benefit is that this truck and the GM's are highly desireable and my truckhas held its value more than any vehicle that I have ever owned. I plan on keeping this one a long time. That being said this will be my last Diesel. Purchase costs and complexity with all the pollution garbage plus the fact that long range durability seems to be compromised will take me out of the Diesel mkt. I will downsize and go back to gas.
