Why, GM didn't buy and crush all the 80's vintage pickup trucks with the fuel tank outside the frame rails that "napalmed" in a side impact.

Possibly because there was nothing wrong with those trucks? Did you see the follow up to that joke of "investigative reporting"? NBC had to install ignitors (small model rocket engines) on the fuel tanks of the GMC pickup trucks because they just couldn't get them to burn for their "expose".
Anyways... I need to go find a thread about Walmart camping... :C
