Surfs pretty well for a 20’ boat. This is the better part of 2000lbs ballast and over 1000lbs of human ballast.
Looks better with boat riding on it's bottom vs chine. - PA12DRVRExplorer"Am curious and ask you all who think warranty ratings do not mean much...do you all follow the ICE's RPM rating ?
AKA....tach red line for your ICE
Or Coast Gaurd max occupancy for all certified boats ?
Ditto elevators, airplanes, etc"
Not the target audience since I at least factor in the mfg. ratings, but: a) always watch the redline on the ICE's, more carefully on the 0-320 on the PA-12 than the engines in surface vehicles; and more carefully on the KEM on the boat than on the pickemups; b) I am aware of the CG max occupancy for my boat, but never come close since I like to run in skinny water; and c) always factor in the Gross Weight limit as well as balance calcs on the ol PA-12; and d) exceptionally claustrophobic, so avoid elevators as much as possible.
I have a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon / LJ that I use every so often to spot the boat and sno-go trailer around the property. Works OK for that, but, since it's the original gutless wonder, can't imagine towing with it. - BenKExplorerAm curious and ask you all who think warranty ratings do not mean much...do you all follow the ICE's RPM rating ?

They *All* can hold, carry, spin, etc more than their ratings... - blt2skiModeratorGrit,
Let them tv.net wieght police know, manufactured warranty ratings mean squat, on either side of Cascades!
Marty - Grit_dogNavigator^Hay now....
I’m not from here and I’m stuck on the wrong side of the state!
WA doesn’t have a right and left side of the Cascades, it has a right and wrong side! Lol L_R_G wrote:

- Bionic_ManExplorerI tried to use my folks Wrangler to put my old sterndrive into the garage. It absolutely buried the rear end of it, and that boat was 1000 pounds less than that Mastercraft.
Honestly can't imagine towing it down the road at 55 MPH. Or even using it to launch the boat. Asking for trouble. - Grit_dogNavigator^Ha, no the Jack wasn’t down.
And it was heavier than that. Boat is 3500-3600 dry ( like camper dry weights, before any options). Add tower, 8 speakers, 12” subs, amps, extra batteries, and gear and about 1300lb trailer, she’s close to 6klbs easy.
