Ford guys claim Archoil helps save CP4s (along with some other “magic). Recently, Ram guys have been drinking the same koolaid since the CP8 was introduced last year.
It can’t hurt, but the vast majority of ALL trucks running around with no issues for the last 20 years since ULSD was introduced would lead one to believe it is not an issue.
Regarding the pump, disaster prevention kit is cheap insurance since you’re likely out of warranty. I’d slap that on and keep motoring happily.
Never heard of the the DCR pump until now. Sounds like a solution if you have to replace the IP. Otherwise save your $ until that day arrives, if ever.

Thanks Grit_dog. I was impressed by the information I saw on the DCR until I saw the warranty: two years excluding labor and everything else incidental. My CP4 has lasted me nine years and replacements come with a three year warranty. I'll probably do what you and StirCrazy suggest.
Still wondering what others have done. Please share.
