I have been contenplating the desaster prevention kit also, its funny, I look at it every year and don't buy one. My procastanation has paid off though. the S&S diesel desaster prevention kint V2.1 is the gold standard. all factory quick conect fuel fitting making instalation a lot less prone to leaks. It has also been out long enough there are several copy cat kits from overseas that are significantly cheeper.

Thanks. The video looked a bit scary to me. Lot's of disassembly involved, blind electrical connections, and all done with a nice creeper I don't wish to buy or store. I'll be looking to have the kit installed.
The additive top performer in your other linked video was Opti-Lube XPD. It would seem the same company offers a product called XL that is less expensive and offers even better lubricity. I expect I'll be purchasing some.

Almost seem easier to sell it and buy a Ram that don’t need any of this stuff. Enough people love Fords that you should be able to get into a comparable Ram for the same money.

yup, its actualy not that bad, but a big job for some one who doesn't like doing that kind of stuff. I do want one of thoes creapers but they cost almost 400 Cdn haha, most of them fold up flat against the wall. right now I have some wooden platforms I put around the front end that are about 2 feet tall, that give me a horse shoe to work around the front of the truck.
ya the opti-lube is about 18 bucks per tank for me to use, the archoil ar6500 is about 3 bucks per tank for me to use. and the archoil gave wear scar tests well above the european requirments so that was good enough for me haha. plus the little bottle of archoil treats up to 400 gal so I don't have to carry as much of it.
