The real change will be a self driving option.
I am in a trade in which we own thousands of trucks. They are too expensive to sit while a driver sleeps. They are in use 24/7/365.
Many years ago I saw a figure that a truck cost 165.00 an hour to own. It is probably 2-3 times that now.
Electric tucks will not be viable unless they can get the cost WAY down, or the refueling process a LOT faster.
Neither seem likely at this point.
