WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Nikola Corp has agreed to pay $125 million to settle civil charges that it defrauded investors by misleading them about its products, technical advancements and commercial prospects, the U.S. securities regulator said on Tuesday.

I was surprised to see any actual truck from Nikola. The real feat will be if the FCEV can be a commercial success.
Meanwhile, a Texas company is holding nearly a billion dollars of deposits for something that was promised to be delivered last year or earlier, and it is not considered misleading. They even promised that your vehicle could be an autonomous ride hailing service and pay for your monthly payment for an extra $10k. That does not exist either.
I guess we measure our companies by who the investor was and is. - WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Nikola Corp has agreed to pay $125 million to settle civil charges that it defrauded investors by misleading them about its products, technical advancements and commercial prospects, the U.S. securities regulator said on Tuesday.

Yup, #ApartheidElon is yapping all over it.
More reason for his arrogance and narcissism that seems to have cascaded to the organization and Tesla relations with customers and buyers -- receiving a get-it-today-or-well-cancel-your-order response when their units are ready.
My daughter said Tesla used to be topnotch in responding to her issues with Tesla X. Currently, the response and turn-around takes forever.
Musk doesn't seem to care about other stockholders and Tesla stock prices when he dumped his own holdings on the market with such hoopla in Twitter and the internet. As a result, he is getting sued again. free radical wrote:

I think we have been saying similar things. The OEMs experience will provide an advantage when the market is ready. Ford and GM have proven that they can build an electric vehicle. It appears that a couple of fan boys have nothing nice to say, but did not learn from their mom that if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.
I am guessing that you and I are waiting in great anticipation for the year-end financials. GM and Ford combined will probably make $20B more than that Texas company. And Ford and GM will provide real US sales numbers, not hiding behind global numbers.
Judging by the huge demand for Tesla,
Market has been ready many moons ago.
OEms lack one thing Tesla has. Ill let you figure out what.

This guy did a pretty interesting review of it. Looks pretty cool for those willing to spend a hundred grand on a truck. Not for me but I still like it.

That's some bulky battery underneath that it look like a truck placed on top of a tugboat. lol
