Hi dwulff, I had my other half answer your PM you sent about this, but here's the answer here in case anybody else is curious:
"The trailer dealer set me up with a EAZ Lift 1000lb hitch with a sway control bar. They set me up when I took delivery of the trailer and the tension bars with chains were only hooked up to a single chain link (the top/first) resulting in the bars to hang very low. I think this was the main reason for the sway I was experiencing, mainly because without those tension bars properly setup it was essentially like towing the trailer with only a hitch ball and no weight distribution. My trailer is out of state right now but when I get it back I'm going to try getting the tension bars hooked up to the 2nd or 3rd chain link on each side to the bars are more parallel to the truck and trailer and tighten up my sway control bar tighter than it was initially and hope this improves the situation. Another thing I'd recommend, if you haven't already, is to get E rated tires put on the truck. The stock Pirelli Scorpions that came on the truck aren't rated for towing such heavy loads and were extremely squishy when I first towed on them. I replaced them and didn't have the same squishy feeling of the tires. I replaced them with Hankook Dynapro's. The truck doesn't ride like a cadillac now but that's the trade off for having safer tires. Until I get my trailer back I'm not sure if this is going to improve significantly or not - if not I'll have to consider looking at new trucks but since the F150 is pretty much brand new I'm going to end up taking a loss on if I end up trading sooner than later. Hope this helps."
