Looking to purchase a toy hauler but need more garage space than I have been able to find. Not very familiar with all the different brands. Can someone give me some ideas of what company offers a larger garage area? Tow vehicle is new Ford dually so "size doesn't matter"...6.6KViews0likes12CommentsNew To Whole RV Life, Looking For Info & Recommendations
I need to buy "all the things!" I have little 4 cylinder minivan and CRV, so will be selling my minivan to purchase some type of truck. I have dreams of taking mountain bikes, kayaks, and ATVs, and just living a nomad life for several months a year. Job is 100% remote, but requires a large-ish desk (2 large monitors), and will need to get a good internet provider (likely satellite). But for a 5th wheel/toy hauler, I have NO concept of the type of truck I will need. When I look at new Ford Superduties, the price has me gnashing my teeth. 1) What are your recommendations for a reliable used truck for hauling a 5th wheel/toy hauler over mountain passes, through death valley, etc. Last thing I want is to over heat/break down/lose breaks, etc. I am not very mechanically inclined, but willing to learn. 2) Are there any brands of 5th wheels/toy haulers I should avoid due to quality issues, or finding mechanics and/or parts issues?2.7KViews1like12CommentsHelp with Solar install for 2016 Rage'n?
My Trailer is prewired for solar but I can't figure out where the wires terminate. My hypothesis is that it's the 3 wires with ring terminals hanging down from the front of the bumper-pull hauler near the battery? If so what the heck is the 3rd wire for? (Red White Black). That location does not make sense to me though, because you wouldn't want the controller exposed to the elements... I'm thinking about this kit as some friends are using it and have not had any issues. http://www.windynation.com/Polycrystalline-Solar-Kits/Windy-Nation-Inc/WindyNation-200-Watt-12-24V-Polycrystalline-Solar-Panel-Complete-Kit-with-LCD-Solar-Controller-RV-Boat-Of/-/631?p=YzE9OA==4.2KViews1like12CommentsSTEALTH NOMAD TOY HAULER. BUYER BEWARE!
Warning! Anyone thinking of buying one of these units DO NOT! For the record, this is our eighth camper we have owned over the course of 20 years. We know the drill and have many experiences with manufacturers. Never have we been treated this bad before Stealth. Purchased our 2020 24' FB in March of 2020. First noticed massive water leak around rear window in Jan 2021. Went round and round with them for months! Horrible communication and follow through with their warranty department! Finally got a check in the mail for labor costs but never received any materials. We couldn’t wait any longer and began the repairs, FYI we are a registered repair shop. Holy **** did we literally open Pandora's Box! The construction, fit and finish and lack of craftsmanship was appalling! Every window and door entry leaked and had voids in sealant! Throughout the whole unit, multiple fasteners were missing! The freshwater vent hose kinked and blew floor apart! The bathroom plumbing leaked. The roof was not properly reinforced for the Air Conditioner weight and almost fell through! And the list goes on and on. We have tried working with Stealth and was just passed on from one person to the next. I have a documented timeline verifying everything and how they totally dropped the ball in this disaster and yet they have the Gaul to tell us they will not cover their absolutely horrible construction of this unit. So now our goal... to make sure no one else gets burned like we did! I will be posting on all RV social mediate websites and forums. If you know of any others, please let me know. Anyone else with the same issue, please reach out to me, {SNIP} MOD'S EDIT: Please review the forum rules, especially this one: Forum Rules wrote: Posts are not allowed in which a local, state, or federal consumer action board and/or legal counsel is/have been involved. We are looking at the 325G. https://www.granddesignrv.com/toy-haulers/momentum-g-class/325g https://changinglanesrv.com/415g-and-325g/ Who makes a floor plan similar to this? I can find plenty of open concept toy haulers but none that are 101" wide and short like this one. We have a Polaris Turbo R and a Polaris XP5 4 door Xpedition and need the option to carry either one. From the video description width or length for either one won't be a problem. Turbo R is 78" wide and Xpedition is 68". What about height? Anybody know the dimensions to the bottom of the happi jac sofa? Also can you remove the bed above the happi jac sofa, then raise the bed up for more height clearance?954Views0likes3CommentsSide Patio Choices
My wife and I are headed to Elkhart either the last weekend of October or first weekend of November. We plan to visit Alliance, Jayco, and Grand Design. Our last toy hauler, the Vengeance 40D12, had a huge side patio and it became one of the best features we've ever enjoyed on a toy hauler. Most of today's models don't seem to have side patios quite as big but in turn, they offer a small slideout on that same side of the camper. So it's an acceptable trade-off. Just looking for opinions from actual owners of these models. I've browsed a little in their owner forums but I'm now asking here. Any owners of the: Jayco Seismic 4113 Alliance Valor 42V13 Grand Design Momentum 399 Thanks4.4KViews0likes4CommentsOne gas tank for fuel station and an onan generator
Hello to everyone, So I have had this 2004 forest river sand piper toy hauler for several years now and I use it quite a bit but since I've been able to use shore power for almost the entire time with it, I never needed to use the generator, or really the fuel station, however that's about to change. Since it's been so long my mory of the procedures it this specific situation aren't great and I've had a hard time getting any good information so I'm really here to begin by trying to fully answer the fundamental process at hand so that my efforts can be honed. First of all, I need to verify that the generator in the front is supposed to get its fuel from the one tank between the two in the back with the fueling station. But what I really need to know is whether or not the pump that's responsible for outputting gas to say an Atv, is also the method by which has gets put to the generator? In other words does onan Genny get its fuel from the only pump in aware of, the transfer station pump? Because I've found .so I'm currently repairing the pump, but actually as im writing this i just realized an obvious solution, if i cant get the generator gas from the fuel station tank, is there any way o could bypass thae tank, interrupt a fuel line for example and feed it directly?1.3KViews0likes3CommentsWater line leak
Hello fellas. I have a 2004 weekend warrior 40 ft fifth wheel and have a water leak I cannot seem to fix or even locate could really use somebody's opinion if you've had this problem. It seems to be under my shower above the front storage cubby is where the water is dribbling down. The only thing I can see that I have view of without seriously breaking down this trailer is the lines that go to my outdoor shower and split off and go to my indoor shower I don't know if the connection is leaking in the subfloor but I know that there is no possible way to get to it. I wish we can Warrior had some forethought and made the outdoor shower it's online so I could just cap it off.473Views0likes1Comment
