Which can you keep, gas powered truck, TC, or it? Or is the "." the "it" you can keep?
If you like your gas powered truck hauling your TC - you can keep it! Period.

- americanrascalExplorerOK here's where things stand. Need more help and advice. This has morphed into 2 issues for me- a missing computer and my inability to locate the "." in the rig.
Yesterday I first applied the white out trying to remove the blemish from the screen. No joy- the spot remained there. Got cordless drill from garage with properly sized bit- attempted to drill the impairment to clear the screen. Still no joy. The blemish remained but wound up with 5 holes in screen and screen was flickering- some smoke present. Not wanting to fail as this is driving me nuts I resorted to the shotgun on the wall- 22 cal and 410 were not available. Grabbed the 20 gauge (no choke) and took aim at the screen. Computer is now in several pieces- the dot is gone and so is computer (many pieces) In addition I now have a hole in the sheet rock behind where the computer where it sat on the desk. The hole surprisingly has outlined the shape of a computer screen.
Am now using spare computer. Unfortunately the spot on the screen has now migrated to the screen on the backup computer I am using- must have transferred through a carbonite reload of the back up or something.
After going to HD today for sheetrock and plaster, then to Staples for a new computer, I plan to spend the day searching the rig looking for the "." using my binoculars and magnifying glass to make sure I have the proper model installed. I have read the owners manual from front to back and found no specifications or detailed data reference to the "." -- however almost every sentence in the manual referred to this item. But I found no description was offered as to where to find it on the rig or the correct model number.
Being stuck on the side of the road crossing the great plains with a failed "." with no help around because it was improperly installed or the wrong model would be devastating. I MUST resolve this soon. HELP! is needed with screen problem that transferred to back up computer and advice on where to find the "." on the rig????
PS- are "." failures covered by GS Insurance or is that under the TV coverage? I assume this problem with "." is universal and not limited to TC's. - BedlamModeratorYou're lucky you do not pay sales tax. Most the Amazon deals for "." are no longer deals after WA gets its cut. eBay is my enemy but they say to keep them the closest.
- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIThanks, I did a little extra digging and found the same item on Amazon.com for a third the price :).
- sleepyExplorerI actually prefer bird shot.. 22 cal is OK... 410 gauge is overkill... especially a double....

I saw a tiny spot on the screen while reading this thread. I keep rubbing and rubbing the screen trying to remove it and it won't go away. Any ideas how to get it off the screen?
A sharp 1/8" drill bit and a cordless drill.
Just push until the chuck is touching the screen and the spot will be gone.
Works every time.
I tried that but when I scrolled down another one appeared. Ugh!
Your problem is more severe and requires an angle grinder (remember to wear eye protection and closed toe shoes when doing this). - trail-explorerExplorer

You can make hundreds of dots and periods with it! - wnjjExplorer II
