Okay, he may not have looked, but he somehow knew it had a trailer hitch and wiring and he told them that meant it has the tow package. He took on the responsibility of assuring them it was good to tow and he needs to take part of the blame now. (IF the facts are as reported to OP-all we can do is take the OP at face value and respond as if it is factual or not)
