03 F350 DRW GVWR vs 06 F350 DRW GVWR
I see that some of the 03 F350 DRW I have seen have a GVWR of 11,500 but the newer 06 F350 DRW have a GVWR of 13,000. Is the difference in the springs or is it a gain just on paper? I know they switch...

Starting with the "tow wars" in 2005 Ford upgraded the suspension, and brakes. My 2004 dually is 11,500# a 2015 equivalent is 14,000# GVWR.

My truck weighs about 8,000# so that's an increase from 3,500# to 6,000# of cargo capacity. GCWR went from 20,000# to around 32,000# which is huge!
