Do a search on Dieselplace.com.
Very common problem I believe.
Low voltage will cause temp dash failure. I had a battery drain and ended up with dead gauge cluster. Upon recharging the batteries, all was OK.
Also there is a company in Concord Ontario (among others) that reman's dash clusters for a lot less than buying OEM. ddinstruments.com
Google gaugecluster and you'll see the '03 come up.
Good luck. I've been fighting a phantom electrical draw that is very inconsistent on my '03 GM Dmax.
