Wow! That's quite a link you posted there MM! :E
You're up Fish. :W
I truly hope the OP's problem is a small service item.
Reading the post from the Arborist that fell out of a 55' tree and then the next day his truck blows up really gets me. I wonder how many small businesses were bankrupted by these defective vehicles.

Ok I'm in... Our family farm ranch business purchased a 09 Ram which was plagued with problems to the point the service manager and mechanic was recommending a delete and move on. After thinking this one thru and the potential consequences of loosing the warranty it was just too risky so it was decided to sell the truck at a big loss with full disclosure of the issues with the truck and purchase another truck. That truck was another Ram but a 07 5.9 that was located in Arizona which required a plane ticket as part of the purchase cost. That truck has been pretty good overall on the pocket book but just doesn't get driven much with less than 30k miles due to it's DRW harsh ride. In '12 we needed another truck so we purchase a 05 Ram 5.9 with a manual tranny. Driver side seat broke, 3 injectors replaced (all six have now been replaced), a 4x4 that wouldn't engage and a cracked exhaust manifold was the last straw after about 1.5 years. We sold that truck again at a loss while making sure the buyer was aware of the past and current issues so there were no surprises. Purchased another Super Duty 7.3 which we should have done in the first place, but they're hard to find one in decent shape.
So yes those fantastic Ram's been a PITA and bad on the wallet. Not sure I could in all honesty recommend one.
Bottom line for us using these trucks in a very demanding environment we've run just about every diesel and gasoline truck (except Duramax, 6.4 Power Stroke and Dodge gas engines) and the Rams just didn't hold up and cost more money to keep them in decent shape.
