I dropped it off at a Ford dealership I have developed good relations with getting work done on other cars. In the past for my 6.0L I used an independent diesel shop in WI (3 hour drive) that has truly mastered the Powerstrokes (High Velocity Performance Diesel :-). If it is minor I will let Ford work on it if it is complex or it appears they haven't diagnosed the true issues I will drive it to HVDP and let him work his magic on them.
I know the 6.0L and 6.4L have less than stellar reputations but that helps me get them at much lower prices. I bought this 1 owner F450 with 88K for 4K. After riding in a buddy's new Ram 3500 and recently driving a 07 2500 D/A I now prefer the Fords so no need for the brand battles on this thread.

I truly hope the OP's problem is a small service item.
Reading the post from the Arborist that fell out of a 55' tree and then the next day his truck blows up really gets me. I wonder how many small businesses were bankrupted by these defective vehicles.
