When I bought my current truck, I looked at newer used trucks first and by the time I had all the rebates on a new truck, the new truck was about the same price as buying one that was two years old on the used car lot.

First -- the prices quoted are MSRP. Take about 10K off of that right off the bat. Second, YES --- I purchased my one year old truck in my signature (in 2016) for $48K --- it's MSRP was just under $70K new. Not half the price but (I thought) a pretty good deal. BTW that came with a certified Used as well as a 8 year 120K mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
