I have an early 2011 which is basically the same as a 2010. I only have just over 40,000 miles on it, most of that towing a 12 K GVWR 5th that probably weighs about 11K actual. I just checked mileage for our return trip from Hemet CA to Abbotsford BC in March. I tow at 60 MPH and burned 126.4 USG over 1429 miles for an average of 11.3 MPG. All of that was towing except for about 20 miles when we unhooked to do a little shopping in Redding.
So far this truck has been trouble free except for having to replace the climate control module because the defrosters quit working. I think that unless you do a lot of city driving, the emission controls on these trucks are pretty reliable. The manual calls for an EGR cooler cleaning every 67,500 miles which might be a little pricy if done by a dealer but can be done yourself if mechanically inclined.
A new HO truck with all the bells and whistles would be nice but this one has been so good, I'm hanging on to it until it gives me a real good reason not to.
