I fought what you experiencing for 2.5 years. Tried every trick in the book. Didn't have air bags but did have RAS on the truck. Tried 4 different hitches even a used Hensley. Nothing mattered. It towed fine on smooth roads but it didn't natter if there was one bump or a stretch of bad road. Even the one bump would jerk the truck. I came to the conclusion that the TT I was towing was a POS. Zero issues with the prior trailer. I even went from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton truck and the same rough riding issues remained. I doubt shocks will cure your problem. But what if you need them, then they're worth a try.
