I think about this in the opposite...they warranty the original springs to reassure the concerned customer and show they are confident they will not dammage the stock springs...
I have seen enough springs damaged from bending in the wrong spot to feel that the warranty is offered for that reason.
I don't know of a single OEM setup that puts that much stress on a single point on the spring, nor one that will shape the springs like a W under load.
