$1000 for a 23 mile tow?

Proper repair is to remove trans, stand on torque converter end and do the RnR of the seal. Just a little HOT.

Where the two halves meet I had a leak. Pulled back half off new seal reassembled. It didn’t feel right going together. New seal and tried again. Felt good so I picked it up hooked RV and started heading South to SoCal. Trans too hot message and dinging went into protection mode and finally pulled over where it was safe. Would not move after that. Torque converter got so hot the metal changed colors. New MOPAR reman a month later we headed South. Three year 100k warranty but reality is I would rather still have the original trans. This one does seem fine.

Yikes, what did they do to your transmission??

I have for many years had great service from AAA. No tricks or gimmicks and very helpful in other areas such as DMV free of charge. They are A Okay and good to go.

I haven’t ever had to us the RV benefit, but when ever I call AAA they ask where I want it towed. They have referenced where they would suggest having it towed. The last time they would have taken it to my local independent shop less than 5 miles from home. Instead they towed it to my preferred dealership 25 miles away without question.

And I used to use AAA as a personal towing service every time my old snowplow would break down. It’s only a sucker deal if one doesn’t understand cost/benefit analysis.

Let me see, you bought a broke down vehicle. Then when you decided you needed to tow it, you bought tow insurance? Then you advertised on the net you are defrauding the insurance co?

You might be better off to find a mobile repair to fix it where it sits.

Did you request a detailed bill from the tow company??
