11,700 gvrw
almost picked up a Ran 3500 today. looked at a lot. most had a 12,300 GVWR but the last one, it is the SLT also and it only shows as 11,700. why such a big gap. don't know what a 2015 3500 CC ...

According to the 2013 RAM catalogue, the only Cummins/Aisin 4x4 Crew with 12,300# GVWR has an 8' box. The same truck with the 6'4" box has the 11,700# GVWR.
Maybe has nothing to do with the engine or power train. Just wheelbase and frame length?
