~11K difference between same trailers...

What am I missing that the two listings have almost ~11K difference. If you look through other listings for the same model there is the range from ~15K to ~28K...generally the same model year (or close)

Any info is appreciated.

Thank you.

Probably true. All these CSO's the financial world are trading are worthless, the same as the CDO's of the Bush era. Why this is happening is obvious.
  • If you can you may consider delaying your purchase till 2021 when the big financial crash occurs.

Prices will be much lower at that time.
  • The only price that matters is the Out The Door price. I always ask for that first and walk away if there is any hemming and hawing.
Look all over the net for the model you want and, pretty soon, you’ll have a good idea of the cost.
  • we have been camping for 30+ years, back in 2008 we purchased our 1st LARGE 5th wheel.

When shopping we found IDENTICAL trailers with close to $8k difference on the actual MSRP ?? funny, right !

You need to do your homework, find the actual MSRP, not the inflated one... find the factory REP, they will usually work with YOU, for YOU..

    Good Luck !
  • Dealers now are enjoying robust business, many have near empty lots and feel no urgency and are holding out for top dollar. That being said, with you finding varied prices for near identical units, go through the dealers websites as well as calling them to verify ,,,,
    Amount added for shipping $$$$$$$
amount added for dealer prep $$$$$$$
    amount added for walkthrough $$$$$$$
    amount added for documentation $$$$$
All dealers have cost associated with these actions, some incorporate that into their price adding nothing when you see their offer sheet.
Others will negotiate with you on price, and AFTER you have agreed on a price add those fees to the agreed upon price. Some will even go so far as to claim that its law they charge you some fees like documentation (hint, that's a lie)
Some will offer what appears to be the best price, but after they add $2000+ in horsehockey fees, they may be higher than the dealer that deals out the door.
  • Find out what the MSRP is and start the negotiations at 35% off. Most dealers are at 30% off.
However right now with a very low supply of RV's everywhere, be prepared to pay more than that 30% off.
  • I have owned that particular model (Jay-Flight-SLX-8-264BH) and have been shopping for another. The going price was $14,995 until a month ago. Now they are quoting at least $3,000 more but they don't have one. A lot of room (beds) for not much money, but almost no storage. Very popular with the oilfield workers as it sleeps 5-6 easily.
  • Playing games. When we were shopping for our 5er we found exactly what we wanted at one dealer. Said his price was $41,000. But it had a lot of rust on the frame. He offered to sandblast and repaint, but I didn't feel good about that. Went to another dealer and he had the exact same 5er in exact same colors and exact same features. Said his price was $44,000. I said sorry, already have a quote for the same 5er for $41,000. He said , ok in that case my price is $39,500. Probably could have got him lower but he threw in some extras also and we bought it.
