1/2 ton towing observations.. (probably need a 3/4)

I have a Suburban 2500 with a Vortec 8.1L rated for 12,000 lbs. It is the biggest gas moose you can buy. I tow a 8,250 lb dry weight TT with it.

Does it work? Yeah it works OK. But it is no fun to tow and the drive is more stressful than I'd like.

IMO, if you want a pleasant, worry free towing experience you cant do it in a half ton gasser.

Next vehicle I buy will be a duramax/allison 2500. I cant wait.
