By the way, several of us tow with the GM 6.0, so ask questions about it freely. I'm sure others will chime in shortly. I have pulled with both gas and deisel, I choose gas. I'm on my second GM 6.0 and would by another if something happened to this one. I just recently had the Blackbear tune done on it and have really enjoyed less TQ management. I mean the truck has always been awesome but it really has stepped up the game now. Mpgs to expect to get... Empty you will get: 13-15 city, and 15-17 hwy. Towing 7.5-9.0. Now all that being said, I just pulled back from Sarasota from this last trip. Pulling my 10k I was getting 9.0 mpgs.... Prior tune the same route and speed68-70 I was getting 8.0-8.5. So very happy to pick up another perk! Otherwise, the 6.0 doesn't need much, extremely reliable... I mean change the fluids, filters and take care of it and you will see 300k easy.
