12v / 120v fridge question

Hello all,
Newbie here with a question about a Novacool 7.5 CU Refrigerator 12vdc/120vac.
How long might I expect it to run and 12v?
Have two six volt golf cart batteries and 95 watt solar panel.

Thanks, Kevin
  • According to this chart you will run at about 4.4 to 5.5 amps per hour for a 7.5 cubic inch fridge.

With two six volt batteries and allowing about half only until recharging, I do think 1.5 to 2 days would be all you should get.

If you have active use of the fridge, and other appliances as well using the battery, a single day would need a good recharge for a few hours with a generator.

But it will keep things going better than a couple of hours for sure.

    Totally wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one with same set up as yours, but with two 12 volt gel cell batteries.

Under very low light conditions, I can get almost three days out of use with ambient temperatures in the low 80's. Of course, there were other drains on the batteries such as water pump and lighting.

    I hope this helps.
