12V power into the bed?
I have a 2011 Silverado 3500HD and need to get more 12V into the bed of my truck than the 7-pin connector will provide. Do I have to run a new line from a spare slot in the the breaker / fuse panel...

If your expecting a high amp draw you need a whole separate power feed from your electrical system. I installed a 17,500 lb. winch on my 2002 F350. I will include a picture to give you some ideas how to supply power and isolate. Here’s a quick list of materials I used:
•Blues Seas Disconnect- rated 500 Amps
•Spartan ANL fuse holder- I have fuses ranging in 200, 300, 350, 400, 500 depending on my use: winch or inverters.
•2/0 welding Cable
•Quick disconnect plugs
Check your wire size and Ampacity and resistance drop for your length of run from your battery to your bed.
I did this on mine and added the disconnect as a safety function in case of front collision.
