We only occasionally dry camp, but my preference is still for (2/4) 6v golf cart batteries. With 230ah of batteries we make it through a weekend with no problem, and they generally last longer than 12v battery banks when doing 50% discharges (particularly with the cheap dual purpose battery that dealers install). YMMV.
