Or, just use a multimeter to double check which ceiling wire is the hot wire. Hook the hot wire to the black wire on the ceiling light.
A multimeter is cheap (or free with coupon) at Harbor Freight. They are an indispensable tool for working on RV electrical systems.
Undoubtedly, I have one at home just for the TT tool box. Great spot for it to, just need to remember it next time. Ha ha.
