13' Eco Towing Performanec
Hello Fellow Rv'ers; An update on our Ecoboost's performance on our first little 4500 mile excursion. Started from the 4 corners of New Mexico. Filled with 91 octane and kept using 91 octane the first 1100 miles up thru Salt Lake to La Pine Oregon. Mileage from both computer & my figuring has been between 9.2 to 9.8. Switched @ La Pine to 87 octane cuz at some of the prices for 91, I'd have to take out a second & third mortgage to afford it. Anyway from La Pine over to Florence & then up the 101 to so far Long Beach Washington, the mileage has gone up to between 10. 4 to 10.8. Now I don't know if it runs better on the 87 octane or it's cuz we're now running @ or close to sea level. Also running in rain off & on from Green River Ut to just north of Astoria Or and no problems with moisture. We are pulling a 31' TT, axle weight 7600 TW of 975#'s with a 13' F-150 XLT Ecoboost, Screw, MT, HD 157" with a VW of 6835. So far been very impressed with the ride and towing, as compared to our 04' 6.0 F-250.
