Just to be clear, the payload of a 4WD 8.1L Suburban is under 2000 pounds. 1850-2000 pounds depending on options. 2WD about 250 pounds higher. A stripper 6.0L 2WD may be close to 3000 pounds. Anyway, still very capable trucks.
