OP here again guys. Thanks so much for all the information everyone. I really appreciate all the insight. APT, I had the dealer run the VIN for me and tell me what the payload is on this truck and he came back and told me 2800lbs. it's an 8600GVWR truck, so 5800lbs on the curb with this one seems a bit light. As long as it's up around 2000lbs I'll be happy. Even 1800 would be an improvement over what I've currently got.
I'm hoping to pull the trigger on this deal today, but I couldn't get ahold of the sales guy yesterday, so the truck may have already disappeared off their lot. If that's the case, oh well. I guess I'll just keep on searching.
