I was up to Maumee Bay, OH this weekend, 5+ hours each way, and was thinking about you and wondering if you had the chance to tow with your new burb yet....truck and trailer ran great, although forgot to check the mileage when I filled up.
One thing to note on this thread is that the 8.1 is drive by wire, meaning that the accelerator pedal is just another input for the computer, there is no throttle cable. I think GM designed it this way to keep you from smoking the tires every time you tap the gas....so it doesn't "feel" fast like you think it should. The flip side is that throttle response is very similar both empty and loaded.
