I've converted my fifth wheel to electric over hydraulic disc brakes, is anyone using the factory brake controller with electric over hydraulic? What's your experience? I use a Protege P3 in my current toe vehicle. I will be taking delivery of new F350 in about a week.

I've been using the integrated brake controller in my Ford since 2011 and have used the prodigies in past and the aftermarkets don't compare to the integrated controllers. Integrated is the only way to go IMOThey are the cat's A$$ :C

Going from memory here, but I believe that my 2012 has a setting for the brake controller: conventional electric brakes or electric over hydraulic. Be sure to check with the trailer hooked up as not all settings show up unless a trailer is hooked up. The electric over hydraulic draws less current and the early Ford built-in controllers would not work right with Electric over hydraulic without wiring in a "fooler" resister. I'll bet you'll have great brakes after you change the setting.

Which actuator is in your rig?

My rig is not at the house but it came from manufacturer with Dexter discs. Before the present rig my other rig had discs installed at MorRyde, not Dexter, and the truck's factory controller worked fine with those brakes also.

My 2015 F350 has a menu on the dash display to setup the brake controller up for the electric over hydraulic application

Ford leaves an out saying "some" electric over hydraulic systems. I have no personal experience, but it would be good if someone could report on your exact system.
