I have the same 3rd gen front end. I am running Dynatrac ball joints, DT Pro Fab steering box brace, Bilstien stabilizer, and OEM box and tie rods with 99K miles on them. I get no wonder at all, very stable on all road surfaces.
They will track occasionally, but no different than my DD commuter or wife's 4Runner. I can see when it's going to happen by watching the road surface. I can't blame that on the tires, which is why I say I don't get any tire induced wander.
My point is that you should pick a tread that meets your traction needs, with a properly operating front end they won't wander.
