1967 Travel Queen Camper

Hi Folks, We just recently bought a 1967 Travel Queen truck camper. It in great shape and about 95% original, I cant seem to find any info about other than a few posts on here a year or two ago. I have the original cable style lift jacks for it but they are just in a heap and I dont know if their complete. All the appliances are original and in great working order, We were victims of the Colorado floods and because our road got washed out we have been staying in it for the last couple months. Never been able cook roasts before camping!! Anyway any information that can be provided would be appreciated.

Thanks TC, Yes any photos that show how the lift jacks are assembled or used would of great help, I believe mine is a 14 ft model, If i can figure out how to post some pictures on here i will.

it would be measuring the floor length for that measurement.

ill see about getting some pictures of the cable lift system for you.

  • to the o.p. - I sent a reply to an email with the questions you asked, hopefully you got it a couple days ago.
the travel queen I bought because I could not let it sit unused is now owned by a good friend of mine. I searched for days on end and could not come up with much info on them. yes, they were made in riverside and now are long gone. they are great campers and not too many of them around. a few are still out there but not that many.
I cant be much help but if you need any pictures of something specific I can get them for you. that camper is in a garage across town from me. that camper is an 8' model.
  • Yeah tried a lot of different sites, nothing about travel queen truck campers, in fact a post above shows "orphaned" camper manufacturers and they arent listed there either, the name plate lists Riverside california but I believe they went under around the mid 80"s
  • All I can really add is congratulations. Our first camper was a 1969 8.5' Travel Queen. We upgraded for more space and amenities, but the TQ was so well built. It stayed warm in extreme cold and was nice and quiet in noisy campgrounds and heavy rains.
