Thanks guys.
ticki2 I think that's why they have the check valve in them, just like on your regular RV where the city water connection isn't isolated from the water pump line because it has a check valve in the city hookup fixture. Granted, there's also a check valve in 12V water pumps (I think), but that's part of the purpose of the manual valve in my idea.
victory that's a good choice except I was hoping for locking. Here's what I found. This isn't a brass valve, and they have another model with the brass valve, but I kind of like this one's knurled handle. But I may go brass. Guess this is what I'll do. In a few days you'll see my pictures of the extremely limited distance available for hot water heater, spray port and water fill. It's gonna work out pretty cool.
Lockable City Water Fill
There is a spot on the camper for a gravity line, should I decide in future the new concept isn't working, and it would be in the original location, non-lockable and in the way of the left front jack brackets. That's kind of what I want to avoid.
But I really think my plan will work neat. Please advise other thoughts though, if anyone thinks otherwise, or has input on this somewhat unique departure from tradition.
