When I worked on my snap n nap years ago I took the side panels apart and I glued in some of the pink foam board that I cut to fit. It reinforced the panels and I noticed it stayed warmer back there when the snap n nap was opened.
I am curious to see how your vinyl covering works because I would like to hide the cracks in my panels.

Well the verdict is in... Although I do like the look of the vinyl, here is the caveat. You must place something on the "cracked" plastic like a "cushion" of some sort to hid the "cracks" that subsequently show through the vinyl. (vinyl is stretched and glued) I guess the vinyl is NOT heavy enough to hide the cracks and splits. Mine is done now... and it took about 20 man hours, so it is staying the way it is for now. Not perfect, but at least looks better than brittle cracked plastic. I will post a pic of the outcome. (a little disappointed)
