Got some work done! Got all the wiring sorted out (wasn't that butchered after all but I didn't like how it was). Factory everything 12V runs off of a single 14 gauge power wire. Seriously?! That seems a bit scary. I pulled the 12V wires back to the drawer area below the 120 breaker box, removed the drawers, drawer sliders, and breaker box. I then lengthened the 120 wires, split all of the 12V circuits apart so no one circuit draws much power and none are "under-wired". I ran new wires for the furnace and new 10 gauge wires to the refrigerator cabinet. Added a new 30 amp power cable through the new hatch. Added a new hatch on bottom side of wing for the 12V vehicle harness and installed harness. Added a battery isolator and wiring for a house battery which will go behind the bed access hatch behind driver side fender. Battery will either go in the truck bed or I will make a battery cabinet/box to stay mounted to camper.
I then wired everything to a converter/breaker panel I removed from my parts camper. Made a wooden panel to hold the converter and mounted it all. Sounds a lot quicker and easier than it was LOL nothing too hard just time consuming. I figured out which wires were for what on the outside lights and some of them work. I'm sure the rest are bulbs or grounds or corrosion.
Then I moved on to the refrigerator with my power outlets and 12V interior stuff now functioning safely. I removed the old one, cleaned up some crud in the cabinet, trimmed out the opening an extra inch taller and installed the Dometic RM2401 3-way unit from my parts donor. This one not only works but also adds 12V function.
Next is to install the furnace from the donor camper and go over the gas system, then swap out the freshwater holding tank (this one has some bad threads in supply bung), install water pump and re-wire it, and start testing the plumbing of both water and gas and test the water heater. Then I will remove the toilet and cap the hole.
