Fixtures are difficult to upgrade as all will probably have to be custom built. Paint or even a deep cleaning does wonders. Laminate flooring can certainly be done. I did it in mine and it is holding up great.

On a rig this old, you may want to do a pressurized leak test before final purchase to make sure any leaks are discovered. If you see many, run away from the deal.
