Wonder why the OP's engine is pressurized like that?
Maybe left the oil filler cap on tight ?
I always take OFF the filler cap while doing my oil/filter change
Also hold the pan drain plug up against the hole just before the last thread.
Then hold up the pan while holding the plug...to then slowly turn the plug till
feel the last thread....then pull the plug out FAST to let the oil drain
into the pan, which is now up close
AS for the filter...made up a poke tool that then drains the oil into the
pan. Here is a picture of the poke end....that plastic didn't work...so now
it is gone and just the brazed on washer and a felt washer (battery terminal
acid protection felt washer)

It stays and I just let it finish draining while I check the
underside to spray paint any spot that needs a shot of combo
primer/finish spray paint
When it stops draining...take off the filter and install a new filter
Then I do the oil pan and while it drains...do the Zerks
