Re the trailmanor....Dick always suggests the trailmanor regardless of what the OP is after, yet doesn't own one. IMHO, a Trailmanor is a very glorified PUP as you have to raise and lower however often to get it loaded and unloaded and it would not be easily usable on the road...raise again, then lower. Airstream makes a very good trailer, has a sound reputation, but also a pricetag that goes along with it.
Casita is a well thought of trailer and has many pleased owners. Similar styles are out there and some online research would help you without driving all over. The R-Pod seems to be gaining in popularity and the one we actually were able to visit in the next site, was very nice. We have owned 2 Rockwood products and very pleased with both. Certainly not "top of the line", but what I would consider a strong mid-range trailer.
Depending on how much or little you want to set up, you might take a look at a Hybrid trailer. We had a ROO 23SS and loved it, but that word "retired" usually ties to a bit older and with DHs artificial pieces and parts, it became more of a chore than we wanted. For some it is absolutely no problem and we loved sleeping under canvas. Tow smaller, open up larger. Nice.
Rockwood makes a line called Mini Lites that are nice and smaller size. If nothing else, suggest you take a look online and see if something appeals to you.
The Tacoma is going to be your limiting factor. If you don't have the exact specs for your truck, your dealer can access that in seconds with your VIN# and answer any questions re capacities. Remember to take any info from the RV salesperson with a grain of salt until you can triple check it for yourself.
Due to lifestyle changes we just saw our TT leave for the last time a few days ago and it made for a weepy day....or two....around here. We loved our HTT and TT and the great memories. Good luck in your shopping and make lots of happy memories with your camping doggies!
